Asset Auditor

We are currently seeking a practical and self-motivated Building Asset Inspector to join the team on a short-term contract for approximately two months.Your new role In this autonomous field-based position, you will travel between sites throughout the Mackay region, conducting detailed inspections of buildings, structures and associated infrastructure assets.Your responsibilities will include:Inspecting buildings and facilities to assess their current condition.Identifying maintenance, structural and asset-related issues.Recording asset information and inspection findings electronically using an iPad.Preparing detailed condition assessment reports.Capturing accurate data and photographs during site visits.Working independently to manage inspections, reporting and scheduling requirements.Providing valuable information to support future maintenance and asset management decisions.This role will suit someone who enjoys being out on site, has strong practical building knowledge and can confidently assess the condition of a wide variety of assets.What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:Experience within building, construction, engineering, facilities management, asset management or a related industry.Strong knowledge of building components, structures and maintenance requirements.Experience conducting inspections, audits or condition assessments.The ability to identify defects, maintenance requirements and asset condition issues.Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.Good computer skills and the ability to accurately capture information electronically.Strong attention to detail and report-writing abilities.Current Driver's Licence.Physical ability to undertake regular site inspections, including significant walking across facilities and building assets.Highly regarded backgrounds include:Building InspectorBuilder or Site SupervisorFacilities ManagerAsset OfficerMaintenance SupervisorCivil or Building EngineerSemi-retired construction professionals seeking contract workLocal Mackay candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.What you'll get in return This is an excellent opportunity to secure a short-term contract role offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to apply your practical building knowledge across a diverse portfolio of assets.You will work closely with an experienced and supportive team while enjoying a largely independent field-based role where your expertise will be highly valued.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click Apply Now to submit an up-to-date CV, or contact Candice Clark @ Hays Construction North Queensland for a confidential discussion.E: [email protected]P: (07) 4049 2972.LHS 297508 Apply Now
