designated Works closely with: Programme Leaders, Quality and Compliance Manager, Business Operations Manager, Admissions Officer, academic administration, teaching staff and external support/services SPTI is seeking a thoughtful, organised and values-led Student Experience Manager and SENCO to play a central role in supporting our students and strengthening our inclusive learning community. This is a key leadership role for someone who is passionate about accessible education, student belonging and high-quality support across the whole student journey. About the Role The Student Experience Manager and SENCO will provide strategic and operational leadership for student experience, inclusion, accessibility and student support across SPTI. The postholder will act as SPTI’s lead for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring that students are appropriately supported to access and participate in their education and that reasonable adjustments are identified, implemented, communicated and reviewed effectively. The role will provide leadership across the whole student journey, helping to create an inclusive, relational and psychologically informed learning environment while maintaining appropriate boundaries between educational support, pastoral support and psychotherapy. As a member of the Institute’s leadership structure, the Student experience manager and SENCO will work collaboratively with Programme leaders and professional services to identify barriers to student engagement, continuation, achievement and progression and to develop institutional responses. Why This Post Matters This post will strengthen SPTI’s capacity to support a diverse student body and ensure that students with SEND, disabilities, neurodivergent profiles, caring responsibilities, mental health difficulties or other barriers to participation can access, engage with and progress through their training as fully as possible. This role therefore provides an important institutional focus for identifying barriers, coordinating support, promoting inclusive practice and ensuring that student experience work is aligned with regulatory expectations and SPTI’s values. By bringing together student experience, SEND leadership, reasonable adjustments, support pathways, placement progression and student feedback, the postholder will support students to experience inclusivity, are heard and are supported appropriately throughout their journey. They will be an important member of SPTI’s flourishing team and community, contributing to a culture of inclusion, care, professionalism and shared responsibility for student success.
