rata inclusive of London allowance Part Time: 17.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE) Hours to be worked across at least 3 days per week which must include Wednesday The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world, with a global reach and an international student intake. Student Services plays a central role in LSE’s central administration and our Student Service Centre (SSC), where the post is based, offers critical functions that are fundamental to the student experience and educational journey. We are recruiting a part-time Departmental Senior Student Adviser to join our central Departmental Student Advice Team. As your primary role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent pastoral, procedural and wellbeing advice to students, signposting to specialist services/teams when appropriate. You will complement, and add to, academic departments’ existing Academic Mentor advice landscape, ensuring a consistent advice and support approach. The successful candidate will work with the Department of Anthropology (please note a background in Anthropology is not essential). The successful candidates will have significant experience of providing student advice and support. Personal resilience in managing competing demands, and a proven ability to use initiative and judgement to solve day to day issues will be crucial. You will be highly motivated and committed to providing an outstanding level of student-focused service. Whilst it isn’t essential, we’d welcome applications from people who have experience of working part- time in a similar role.
