University of London. Reporting to the Centre Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of the Centre’s business support services. You will provide expert guidance and oversight across financial and HR processes, manage complex queries and ensure that activities comply with university policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial processing, procurement, reconciliations and reporting; supporting recruitment, new starter and operational HR administration; resolving complex finance and HR issues; and acting as an escalation point between the Centre and central University teams. You will also contribute to space management and help identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working. About YouYou will be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience, with substantial administrative experience gained within a complex organisation. You will have experience of overseeing administrative teams and workflows, together with strong working knowledge of financial and HR procedures and systems. You will be an effective communicator with excellent organisational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. You should be confident managing competing priorities and tight deadlines, working both independently and collaboratively, and recognising when complex matters need to be escalated. A flexible, professional and solution-focused approach is essential. About the School/Department/Institute/ProjectThe Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
