delivers reliable and secure infrastructure and services to UCL research groups, and a laboratory for research and innovation. About the role We are seeking a motivated individual with an interest in AI infrastructure and a background in research computing, high-performance computing (HPC), or related technical environments. This role is focused on helping researchers effectively use AI and computational infrastructure, providing direct technical support and guidance to researchers. You will play a key role in maintaining reliable infrastructure, assisting users with technical issues, monitoring system performance, and contributing to the development of operational processes and service metrics. Key responsibilities: Provide first-line support to researchers Troubleshooting Linux environments, Kubernetes clusters, AI platforms, GPU-enabled services, and research workloads Assist with platform administration and maintenance Monitor service performance, reliability, and utilisation Help define and implement metrics, procedures, and support processes Work closely with researchers to understand and improve experience Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous service improvement.
