allowance The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences. Our Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 14,000 staff and student users. Data and Technology Services (DTS) delivers technology enabled business change with a focus ranging from strategic and operational business outcomes to service improvements of incumbent services. The scope of DTS projects spans from infrastructure technologies and strategic systems to business processes within end user facing services. The postholder will report into the Lead Technical Business Analyst.  This is a hands-on role. Key responsibilities include business and technical analysis throughout the project lifecycle, with the postholder working directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand problems, elicit and challenge requirements, analyse processes and data flows, develop solution options, and translate business needs into clear requirements for technical delivery teams. The role requires the postholder to personally lead requirements elicitation activities, support testing and service transition, and contribute to business change required for LSE to maximise benefit. The postholder will be responsible for researching and understating business needs being addressed by the product team, current technology environment, and utilising incoming technology solutions to develop solutions and/or service(s) that bridge gap between the current and desired states, whilst ensuring the team is solving the right issue with the right tools. Candidates should have/be: Significant experience in authoring high quality documentation for business analysis activities, including business requirements, options analysis, process design BPMN 2.0, user stories, test scripts and acceptance criteria for a technical system delivery Able to gather and interpret user requirements and produce viable user-centric solutions in accordance with regulatory requirements and School policies and procedures. Ability to convert business requirements into technical outputs such as systemic workflows, data models and technical specifications for Integrations, API’s and data structures Able to identify risks, gaps and implementation challenges and propose effective mitigation strategies We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
