The Role Working with the Head of Creative Services, the Senior Designer will manage the design and production of a wide range of creative assets across print and digital channels, supporting the University's strategic communications, marketing, student recruitment and brand engagement objectives The post holder will partner closely with colleagues across Strategic Communications and Marketing, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to develop compelling creative outputs including prospectuses, corporate publications, annual reports, research reports, marketing collateral, event branding, digital content, social media assets and advertising campaigns. They will manage a portfolio of projects from initial brief through to final delivery, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met. Acting as a guardian of the University of London brand, the Senior Designer will support the use of visual identity guidelines, provide expert design advice across the organisation, and help maintain consistency of messaging and presentation across all channels. The role will also contribute to the creation of bespoke graphics, illustrations and animations, helping to bring marketing campaigns and institutional communications to life. Working closely with printers, photographers and other creative suppliers, the Senior Designer will oversee the production process from artwork creation and typesetting through to print and digital publication, applying expert knowledge of design software, print production and digital media. The post holder will also support the management and development of the University's Media Library, ensuring assets are maintained, accessible and used effectively across the organisation. This role provides creative leadership and specialist expertise to colleagues across the University, supporting the development of high-quality communications, championing best practice in design, and identifying opportunities to innovate and enhance the University's visual presence and reputation.
