The role holder will also be involved in receiving and sending items to external laboratories, and distribution of laboratory to work to dental students. The University of Bristol Dental School opened in September 2023, delivering dental care to the local community and delivering education and training to dental students, nurses, hygienists and therapists. This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, working flexibly within the opening hours of the laboratory, which will be between 8am and 5pm, ensuring that the service is maintained. What will you be doing? Working in a bespoke dental laboratory complex, within the Dental School, you will be responsible for the dental patient cases that are generated from the large dental training clinics. The work will involve booking in cases, and preparing them for construction, sending and receiving cases and monitoring the storage in the dental laboratory reception, answering queries from external stakeholders, as well as from the dental students and other laboratory users. Additionally, you will be working in the dental laboratory, producing plaster dental models from impressions taken on the dental clinic, as well as scanning models and impressions with the latest CADCAM equipment, and providing support to the technical teaching and service team.
