Role & Responsibilities: You will primarily focus on Microsoft365 development/continuous improvement specializing in EntraID, Exchange and OneDrive. This would include shaping and defining business requirements, applying a firm technical understanding to develop the requirements through analysis into deliverable, testable and appropriate IT solutions. The post holder will document requirements and promote suitable IT solutions that exploit existing capabilities and proposing new solutions in accordance with University’s architecture. Responsibilities include: Take an active and often lead role as an IT Systems subject matter expert, liaising closely with internal IT technical teams, external suppliers and contractors during the design, development and implementation stages of IT projects. As an IT systems subject matter expert, provide technical consultancy and third line support for IT systems and services. At the Project Go-Live stage and through the Technical Change Request Process, ensure that all relevant testing, documentation and transition of knowledge and skills to appropriate teams have been completed and agreed with the relevant teams to enable smooth transfer into a fully supported operational state. Where dictated by the scale of the likely budget, partner with Procurement to complete tender exercises. This includes providing input into the sections of the Invitation to Tender document covering technical requirements and co-ordinating the technical evaluation of the tender responses. Manage to a high standard a case load of incidents, problems and service requests, and where necessary find and document new workarounds and resolutions.
